The Angel Hotel, Midhurst

Work was completed late last year on a complete refurbishment for the front section, the original Grade II Listed 18th century coaching inn, of The Angel Hotel, in Midhurst, West Sussex.

This work included the restoration of the main street façade, re-rendering, removing many inappropriate elements from the façade and redecorating and lighting.

Together with the external facelift, internal restoration and remodeling, exposed much of the original fabric including timber frame, fireplaces and the like and within these spaces a new brasserie was formed at the front, accessed direct from the main street, with new support facilities and amenities, kitchen, reception, office, car park, external landscaping and staff accommodation.

The Angel has always been a most important element to the main street through Midhurst being so centrally located and the restoration has enabled this prominence not only to be maintained but to be enhanced.
